Dang, I cannot believe I am here. A place I dreamt of years ago but honestly was scared to take the jump. Scared that I would fail and nervous to leave the corporate world I entered at the age of 16.
After having my two kids…my dreams, aspirations, goals, and wants in life drastically changed. I never thought I would ever leave the 9-5 world to chase my dreams and completely change my career path. But guess what? Life is too short. I want my kids to see that their mom loves what she does. That she helps people create the home of their dreams. That she chased HER dream. Because in all reality….that’s what I want for them.
I spent countless nights dreaming, hoping, wishing, and praying that this would one day happen for me. I would sit in bed at night and talk to my husband about how I wanted this so bad but was terrified.
After many trials, tribulations, unforeseen events, and leaving my desk job…I said “I’m doing it.” I can say that without the constant support, motivation and love from him I don’t know if I could have done it. It’s a huge step taking a leap and living off of one income. But the passion I have for this fuels me.
A little background on my home design and decor side…
I started an Instagram account in 2017 to share my home with my family and friends. We had just bought a fixer upper and I felt annoying posting about it everyday on my normal account lol. I then transitioned into flipping furniture (hence the name @drab.to.dreamy) I took pieces from old, worn and dated and restored them into beautiful pieces that went with my home. I was 21 when we purchased our home and didn’t have a ton of cash to spend on decor and furniture.
As time passed my page grew faster than anticipated. I started working with huge brands and companies. It was literally a dream come true. To be able to use my home to share tips, styling, and staging decor. I didn’t understand how the heck this was happening!
Fast forward to now, 2022. I have a successful Instagram page with an amazing community of home decor lovers. I share my life, my home, and my family with my 30,000 something dreamers. It’s been a wild ride and guess what? It’s only the start… I can’t even begin to describe how many people have asked me to help them with a room, pick out curtains, put together a pillow combination, or design an outdoor oasis to enjoy all summer. I could never fully commit because I didn't have TIME. Working full time, picking up and dropping off kids, dinner, baths, quality time. The nights went so fast I couldn't even breathe. Stepping away and putting my focus towards my new goals not only relieves so much stress off my back. It fuels my purpose in life. Helping people create the homes of their dreams.
With 5 years of experience under my belt, I am FINALLY excited to announce MY brand, Dreamy Interiors.
Sticking to my roots with a little flare ;) Dreamy Interiors is an extension of my Instagram page, but taking my services to the NEXT LEVEL! I am now taking clients FULL TIME to help design, decorate and dream up your spaces. To create timeless and organic designs that effortlessly flow into your home.
